It was interesting on the recent David Lynch weekend webcast, there
were a number of people who stood up to ask questions, one was
obviously a prospective student who hadn't learned TM yet. It was
rather funny to hear him talk because you could tell he was still
learning about the admission process to the university. His question
was prefaced by this description of what he'd have to do to get in.
He said something like 'well first you have to listen to the intro
lectures and then you can actually learn TM, *but it has to be from a
certified or re-certified teacher*, to which he shrugged and then
added "what ever that means!". It was interesting for two reasons,
one, he had obviously been told at some point in the admission
process that it had to be a *certified or re-certified* teacher and
also because he had no clue about what the re-certification meant,
let alone the underlying controversy.
