Itwould depend on how fast that fragment is traveling. If its going at 
99% of the speed of light, for instance, it would probably punch 
through the earth. DOn't know if he's got a point for whatever he's 
talking about though. Most comets aren't traveling at 99% of the speed 
of light, as far as I know.
