The techniques work for witnessing ALL states, including waking. In terms of spiritual practice all are helpful. For example if you learn to meditate *while* in the dream state, you can extend your practice considerably and work out issues impossible to do in waking. What's neat is to see how dreams arise out the the deep sleep state and then dissolve back into it. It's like having your own holodeck! ------------------------ Yahoo!
