I currently share a Toyota Celica with a friend of
mine named Sophie. I helped her buy the car last
year, and now that I'm in the same neighborhood,
we share the car so that I don't have to buy one
of my own until I really, really need it.

The thing is, this ridesharing experiment has shown
me that I may not *ever* really, really need my own
car. I get to use this one whenever I want, and
share the expenses with someone else. The Toyota
itself was what we call in France a Screamin' Deal,
the quintessenital Comfortable Reliable Car selling
for around 1500 Euros.

I ask you: why would anyone *ever* pay more than
that for an automobile?

:-)
