I had a Toyota Corolla clone, Chevy Nova, 87'. The most dependable
car I ever owned. Then I got the thirst for an 85' Jaguar xj6,
series 3. Great car, absolute work of art, lots of fun, but bled me
to death with repairs (a common story with earlier Jags...not so
much now). Wouldn't be driving it much now, anyway- 24 gallon twin
tanks, 15 mpg tops, 4.2 liter FI inline 6, massive gas gulper...on
the other hand, cruising at 110 wasn't a problem.

Yeah, I hear you; ultimately the responsibility rests with us alone
for such choices. A good lesson.
