Actually you answered a *different* question, citing the likely ill effects on unready people of "the deepest known transcendent mystical experience." But the question didn't ask about "the deepest known transcendent mystical experience," nor about anything with possible ill effects; it simply asked about a technique that was universally beneficial. If you don't give a shit about dharma or religions, then the question isn't meaningful to you. The idea behind the question is whether you would be willing to impose a *spiritual* technique on people on the basis of certain knowledge that it would do them good. It isn't really a *realistic* question, it's one-a-them hypothetical-type deals having to do with freedom of/from religion, and whether that is more important than individual and global well-being. The problem with the question is that a negative response on the grounds that forcing spirituality on people is bad for them contradicts the very premise of the question, which is that this particular hypothetical spiritual technique will be good for them. I am in charge of me and responsible for me whilst on this world not bloody priestcraft and their godamned religions mate. > > Why are you lot so bloody rude all the time here. Sod it, I did not want to come back here I was asked to - but stuff it, I will go where human beings exist and know how to be a little pleasant to each other for the short time we have here. And where they have something to say which is worth hearing. Grow up for Christ sake. Stick this list up your arse and enjoy it. > > Dick. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: authfriend > To: [email protected] > Sent: Tuesday, June 06, 2006 9:21 PM > Subject: [FairfieldLife] Re: If you knew of a spiritual practice that you were *certain* > > > --- In [email protected], "Dick Richardson" <rwr@> > wrote: > > > > In this month last year this list had 5302 emails - the most it has > had in a month, and a hell of a lot.
