She didn't say it in her book, she said it on TV to
Matt Lauer of the Today show.

The correct quote is "enjoying their husbands' deaths."

It doesn't MATTER what it was "because of."  It
was an inexcusably vile thing to say, and of
course completely untrue.

She did indeed suggest their husbands had been
unfaithful, the implication being the widows were
happy to get rid of them.

It doesn't get much more offensive than that.
