Well, double blind is not about lying, its about overcoming the strong
cognitive errors that stem from having even the subtlest of queues as
to what result is desired. Outcome expectation bias. Its about not
telling.

Though in some studies, beyond pill administrations, it becomes kind
of difficult or impossible. The research director would have to not
reveal to the data/crunching researchers what method had been 
administering: medicine, ECT, SKY.  And not reveal it to the subjects.  
Not to easy to camaflague ECT from SKY to subjects. :) Some funny
scenarios come to mind.  

Thus the researchers in this study are recognizing there may be some
outcome bias. As is quite true with TM studies, No "blindness" of
subjects or researchers.
