Interesting observations; It seems to me, though, that Maharishi got involved in politics, when the Natural Law Party was created and the whole John Haglin thing for President. It seemed at the time to be a good platform; To get the message out; which is all Maharishi really cares about; Besides promoting his agenda to have a Fundementalist Vedic Society; As was mentioned above. The only problem is: there's not many societies in the world; That want to become a Vedic Society. So, it's not so much, what you call the system of government; Which is in place; as we are attempting to create a 'Democracy' In Iraq, whatever that is? It has more to do with who is the 'Decider'; And what that 'Decider' decides to do; like invade Iraq... I think the bottom line is: When it comes to politics; There are those who will always see the seperateness of mankind; And want to divide things up, into Titles and boundaries of every kind. They are the 'younger' souls. The 'older' souls, are tired of this whole game, really tired of war; And all the rest of the lust for power and other games of the elite. So, I would assume, Maharishi, being an old soul; Is also tired of the same old shit. And has tried to create something new; Out of where he came from and what he learned; How much more do you want him to do? He can only do as much as the people surrounding him can do... And many of them are just unenlightened humans. Many are themselves old souls, of course. But it takes more than being an old soul; To make a mark on this distressed and tired old world. ------------------------ Yahoo!
