Last week I started a topic called "Voodoo TM or TM Program: which do you practise?"
On reflection, I think a better term than "Voodoo TM" is "Hassidic TM". This is because the Hassidim are famous for following thousands of rules in the living of their daily lives: rules and laws dictate how, when and where to eat...and with whom. How and when to leave the house in the morning. When and where to bath...etc. etc. The point I was trying to make in the original post was that TM was no longer a technique where one sits and does it for 15-20 minutes, comes out and lives their lives according to their own dictates, common sense and traditions but had evolved (or devolved) into a quasi-cult where one was told what to eat, what political beliefs to have, what kind of house to live in, etc. And this description is better suited to the moniker "Hassidic TM" than "Voodoo TM".
