My understanding it was from complications form diabetes. I heard he ran a restaurant at one time and I'm not sure exactly when he passed I want to say the late 70's for some reason. Seems that Satyanand  passed also a few years ago. There was also another young Brahmacharya  from back in the early 70's that died from a bleeding ulcer.
