Sir Rick, MMY is supposed to be invincible. Does he really have diabetes.??
It's not exactly modern ways that created these kind of disorders.
All these disorders have been lying dormant for thousands of years. Till the years 1850 the average lifespan of a man was barely 45.!! When the lifespan started increasing, all these disorders started manifesting themselves.

Amma does have diabetes. I dont know what type. She eats typical Indian food, but also fish, for the protein. Not much sweets, although occasionally during darshan shell pop a sweet in her mouth that someone has offered, if she can do so before Geetha, her assistant, gets it away from her.
