"Yes. I don't think core inclinations and motivations change that much
in a generation. What changes is the environment and culture, what
kids are exposed to. And they will legitimately react against the
"excesses" of thier parents. Our parents rebelled against the
frugalness-- born from the depression -- of their parents by focussing
on "making it" nice houses and big cars. Boomers rebelled against the
shallowness and corporate-nature of their parents. GenX rebelled
against the chaos, serial marriages, disorientation of many of thier
parents. And are career focussed, women seem to take their husbands
name a lot more -- having grown up with hyphenated names on steroids.
(All of thes view are groos generalizations. Assume I am referring to
40-50% or each cohort. Many splinter segments of each cohort could be
characterized differently).

So on the surface, each genration seems different. But I sugget its
the same core inclinations, motivations and inner spirt reacting to
different environments."

Good analysis; so, it's all just a Yin/Yang thang...
