Actually, if you look at my exchange with geezerfreak
that ended with the quote at the top, you'll find that
it was precisely the opposite of what Barry describes.

This accurately describes my initial comment to
geezerfreak.

And this accurately describes geezerfreak's reaction
to my (entirely polite) disagreement, culminating in
the charming quote at the top.

In Barry's perception, the situation was the reverse
of what actually took place.

Isn't that odd, when you think about it?
