I think if you were to investigate, you'd find that very, very few of these people were actually anti- American. Anti-American-*government*, certainly, but not anti-American. The notion that leftists "hate America" is just another of the lies the rightwingers tell to try to make people afraid to criticize the government. They want you to think dissent is treasonous, whereas in fact dissent, as someone once said, is the highest form of patriotism. When you really love your country, you want it to live up to your expectations for it, live up to its potential, live up to its Constitution, and you get very angry at those who drag it down, like the current administration. In any case, that's not what Horowitz is claiming that I questioned. Do you realy believe that liberals refuse to condemn Islamic terrorism? If so, you've been lied to; and you can expect the rest of Horowitz's book to be full of lies as well.
