Yes, I completely agree with your last statement, and Boy is it 
convenient for the Republicans to trot out this little morsel, to 
conter the Natl. Intelligence Estimate which showed that terrorism 
has increased globally *as a result of Bush's war in Iraq*.

I am not saying what the FBI is reported as saying is true or not. I 
just find the timing too convenient for the party in power, much as 
I am very suspicious of the report today that an unsourced tape, 
reportedly from the head of Al Queda (though this couldn't be 
verified) was sent to an Arab speaking radio station, stating that 
4,000 foreign fighters have been killed in Iraq.  

This of course bolsters the Bush fiction that the war there is 
between terrorists and freedom loving people, when in fact it is 
Sunnis and Shiites killing each other absent any credible central 
authority in Iraq.
