Yep, it's a sad day for America and democracy as a whole.  It will take 
us the rest of our lives to recover from the horrific effects of this 
administration, if ever.  Like most parents, I had hoped to leave a 
better world for my kids, one in which they could move about as freely 
as possible and make informed choices, and in which the amount of fear 
and meanness would be kept to as much of a minimum as possible.  That 
hope is fast becoming the impossible dream.  I sure hope the people who 
voted these people in find the pittances that were tossed back at them 
all worth it.
