I didn't mean to ditto the timing per se; I'm not sure
what Robert means. I was just congratulating Geoff on
publishing the book.

Among the recommended promotional techniques are
putting up a Web site for the book, starting a blog,
arranging print and broadcast interviews, and leaving
posts on relevant Web forums. I think he also has
taken advantage of some of Amazon's features for
author promotion.

I was tickled to see what Geoff had done because I
had just given an author client of mine who has a
book coming out soon a pep talk recommending all
these approaches. (Advice on promotion isn't part
of the editorial services I offer, but of course I
want his book to do well, and I've been reading
about promotion just for my general information.)

Not the point. The point is to get the title
out in front of the public.

I can hardly wait to see what you'll find to argue
about in my response, Sal.
