Well, as one person put it a couple of years ago, How do you know he's a terrorist if he hasn't been convicted yet, which implies to me that person thinks they deserve the entire due process of law procedures to be completed before any interrogation can take place. I can see it now, the ACLU says we can't use any information taken from terrorist suspects to prevent terrorism because the suspect didn't receive due process so any information taken must  not be used or acted upon.
