Me, I loved the book for possibly the opposite reason. I have no feel whatsoever for "gods and goddesses." Big whoop. Does nothing for me whatsoever. If I met one, I'd probably ask them to join me for a beer. So what I loved about Zelazny's book was that he took the myth and made it *human*, showing where myths such as the Hindu pantheon probably *come* from.
