What! you got stuff back from the main frame in REAL TIME. Jeeez, that
was high tech. I remember submitting a stack of cards to the MF, and
then having to wait 12-24 hours to get results back. Shit another
minor syntax error in this stupid Fortrash. OK, retype another stack
of cards ....

This was a few months befor Humboldt 70, when Dean Brown of SRI said
that someday, students would hall have computers the size of a text
book, that they could carry around, and would contain all knowledge.
"Jeez, what a loon!  Where are the cards????!!! ":) 

(Actually he was a very good speaker, dignified sort of guy.)
