6. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi -- ("Maha" means great, "rishi" means seer or
teacher, "Mahesh" means destroyer of ignorance, "Yogi" means one who
has obtained "yoga" or union or enlightenment.) Maharishi is a title
bestowed upon many masters of the Vedic tradition. Maharishi Mahesh
Yogi is the name given to the founder of the Transcendental Meditation
program by his teacher.
