Yes. From Dixon's statement it follows that ministers and dedicated
lay persons of churches tht accept abortion and gay marriage are not
devout. 
Quite a silly premise.

Perhaps Dixon is referring to closed-minded, non-rational,
arch-extreme, whacko, devout christians. And/or arch-conservative
republicans. (is that redundant?)
