Does that mean that what you really meant to ask is why don't western meat-eaters eat pure carnivores? In any event, my point still stands that it is not true when you say western meat eaters "will only eat herbivores". In addition to the previously mentioned chickens, pigs are also not herbivores. And, a lot of fish eat other fish. Perhaps, you don't classify fish and poultry as "meat", but pork most certainly is.
