If you watched CNN's Larry King Live show on November 2, 2006 (second
half on November 16th) you would have recognized some well known TMers.

I have been watching The Secret DVD and used a miniature Shiva stone
as my Gratitude Rock for about 10 days now. I am so uplifted, filled
with joy and bliss when I even think of The Secret.

Suddenly I had the power I had a for a few years after learning the
sidhis. I spent today tripping out. Driving to lunch, there was a
city bus (they take forever at a bus stop in Austin while people mount
or remove their bikes from the front of the bus) in the right lane and
two cars in front of me in the left lane. I blissed out and told the
two cars to speed up so I could get around the bus as I had to make a
right turn 100 feet from there. Suddenly the two vehicles turned on
their turn signals and zoom left into the entrance to an apartment
building with the speed of a jet fighter. I visualized the waitress
in my M-F Spanish language only Mexican restaurant bringing me
napkins, as they more often then not forgotten. Each of the 4
waitresses came to me with napkins. I went from shop to shop,
visualizing no cars in front of me. Where there was always traffic
all the cars were following me. I visualized packages not due for a
week to be waiting for me at the UPS Store. They were. I came back
from Wal-Mart with a bunch of those flimsy little plastic bags. I
visualized that parking space closest to my apartment closest to the
pavement so I could protect my brand new car from dings and have an
easier time to carry in those bags. There it was.

The Secret is extremely well done. They (at least a dozen well known
TMers) appear totally coherent with each other though they use their
own experiences and offer their own techniques to work with The Law of
Attraction. No blatant mention of TM but it's there very subtly. "You
may say that you are made in the image and likeness of God", "You may
say that you are the Universe becoming aware of itself and you'd be
right" is an example. Dr. John explains that we use only 5-10% of our
brains at most. Using 100% requires proper education (at MUM perhaps?).

What was disappointing about the LKL live show was that lovely
coherence didn't exist. You could see the panelists almost distancing
themselves from the others and promoting their own programs. Only Bob
Proctor managed to slip in a plug for TheSecret.tv , the thing the
Larry King Show staff are so excited about.

Why on earth John Hagelin was part of The Secret video is beyond me.
He plays a bit role only. It looks to me like he was pulled in
/because/ of his association the TMO. Like it or not, FFLers, The
Secret seems to be directed at us.

Distance themselves from TM? Looks like $$$ was possibly a motive.
Maybe wanting to do good for the everybody on Earth including us TMers
might be another reason. "What you place your attention on will grow"
didn't cut it for me, Maharishi. Reading about your dis-eases over
the years didn't cut it with me either, having make the decade long
chronic prostatis I've taking Cipro. Bactrim and Vicodin for for years
go away in a day.

Though a long term and current TMer/citizen sidha thinking of coming
to the Invincibility Course, I found in The Secret techniques and
answers and power I never gained from the teachings of Maharishi,
Chopra, Dilliard or Hagelin (within Movement context).

Back to the LKL show. Only Bob Proctor stayed in character with The
Secret. Just a coincidence he sat closest to Larry King? Definitely
no hint of TM in that show.

I wonder about a bunch of things. One is whether or not LKL did not
want to promote The Secret and asked all of the panelists to just be
themselves? There were were just enough out-takes to commercials to
show each panel member presenting their own program. Utterly shocking.

It was as though each of them was from a different planet and none of
their programs seemed at all appealing to me. I am thankful and
grateful that Creative Intelligence working in Australia had the
genius to tame this menagerie of people to speak in harmony (or would
it be scripts and telepromters at work?). I'm overjoyed TM was never
mentioned in the video. "If you're happy meditating for an hour, do
that. If you're happy eating your salami sandwich, do that" And
"follow your bliss" was as close to TM orthodoxy as I wanted. thank
you. "Mother Teresa said 'I'd never attend an anti-war rally but if
you have a peace rally, invite me.' Mother Teresa knew The Secret."
was a whole lot better than Maharishis's damn democracy, damn Bush.
One lovely quote in The Secret is "what you resist persists",
Maharishi. Heed that thought, OK?
