Keep in mind that the Tantra tradition came after the Vedic tradition. It is my understanding that the Vedic Rishis tapped into the akashic records and retrieved the sounds from the Holy Tradition which was in the 2nd Epic of Atlantis. This was some 70,000 years ago. It lasted around 40,000 years. So, India is 40,000 years old. For the first 35,000 years it was more into rituals. If you don't believe that go to a Hindu temple sometime. Do you see anyone meditating in silence? I'm not being critical. I love going to the Lakshmi temple here in Ashland Massachusetts. I honor and adore Lakshmi. But Hindus are not brought up with meditation. My point is.... the bija or seed mantras started in Lemuria thousands of years ago and resurfaced in the 2nd Epic of Atlantis and resurfaced again by the Rishis of India. It was not until the Aryan race entered India that they called it the Vedic Tradition. It was most likely called the "Holy Tradition". MMY seems to refer to both at times. Just a thought.
