Interesting exercise. I like doing this sort of thing because it
"calibrates" how a house or graha's influence really manifests in ones
chart. Not 5000 year old multi-translated texts. But the real lived
effect.

Amongst a number of intersting observtions in other houses, I looked
at 12th house transits, since rahu will enter my 12 house on
wednesday. I was a bit apprehensive -- thinking -- great, all I need
is a bunch of 12 house stuff dumped on me. 12th - classically, death,
liberation, "bed comforts, accidents, misfortune, drudgery,
expenditure, foreign residence, grief, imprisonment, termination of
jobs, loss, misfortune, fall from positon, solitude, loss of wife, etc.

I looked at past two rahu transits of 12th. These were among the great
periods of my life. Some involved living overseas and seclusion / a
tupe of "jail" (aka rounding) -- including much of my 6 month TTC and
two month long courses prior to that. And "death" of my graduate
student days (while working full time) -- quite a liberation period.

I seemed to have gotten the positive aspects of 12th house in past two
rahu transits. Perhaps due to my lagna lord, jupiter being in 12th.
And jupiter also being lord of 10th -- career. Second tranist was a
great career transition and blooming period.

Though malific saturn aspects 12th. Yet saturn also rules 12. Aspect
of graha on house it rules produces good effects (indicates positve
karma returning) as I recall.

And Jupiter rules Rahu. So Rahu, transits lord of natal house. A good
thing, AFAIR. And jupiter in 12th, also rules Mercury and Sun. Thus a
rahu transit could have widesweeping influence on intellectual
persuits (it did) and stauts, ambition, success (it did).
