Personally, I believe that all the CIA paranoia is 
the result of *TMers* who see *Maharishi* and his
actions as a threat to their reality. They simply
cannot believe that someone they consider enlight-
ened could do such consistently dumb shit, so to
defend their fantasies of him they conjur up bad 
people from the CIA who are influencing his actions.

In all seriousness, I suspect the "Reich" had as good
a laugh at the idea of Raams as sane people did.

Because they don't believe for an instant that TM or
all its buttbouncing influences anyone except the
people who are doing it? I certainly don't, and I've
been there, done that. They haven't, so the likelihood
of them actually *believing* in the ME is nil. 

Believing that the CIA is after you is IMO in the exact
same ballpark when claimed by TMers as it is when claimed
by guys wearing tin-foil hats. It's about self importance.
