While their housing is being completed in Maharishi Vedic City over the next month, the Vedic Pandits are temporarily being housed on campus in residence halls that were renovated on short notice. Approximately 50 Vedic Pandits arrived last Friday, and as this issue of The Review goes to press, more Pandits are expected to arrive every day. The Pandits flew into Chicago and were greeted in festive fashion, with garlands and bagpipe music. Housing is being prepared for 300400 Vedic Pandits on campus, the total that is currently expected to arrive in the coming week. As housing is constructed in Maharishi Vedic City, even larger numbers of Pandits may come. About 1,000 Pandits are expected to be in the community within two months to swell the numbers on the Invincible America Assembly so that the Maharishi Effect is achieved for the United States.
