I found the repetitive calls irratating on my answering machines, as did the million or so others that got them. Once each was more than enough. Subtle use of meanings of words have subtle and pervasive psychological effects. Democrat to me, more properly signifies a party name, democratic implies process. The US is a representive republic not a pure democracy as it is often loosely described. 'Democratic' does not even describe the processes within the party itself.
