>From someone who seems to know. More positive than the previous report:
* The Pundits are mostly happy, they laugh amongst themselves & enjoy the same things they did at home in India. * They are mature. Most are early 20's but some are late 20's and others even approaching 50's. * They are happily devoted to their programs * Devoted Brahmin pundits desirious to do an excellent job for Maharishi & their ancient traditions, here or in India. * They are happy to meet & see other pundits from all over India. In India they wished to be together, but were secluded in various parts of the country and were left alone to go deeper into their knowledge, learning their family traditions & serving humanity. * They are joyfully given more Vedic Knowledge in their respective traditions. They may also pursue some University studies if they wish. * They can in fact see outside their compound and go outside in groups. * They are housed better in most cases than they were in India. They are pleasantly surprised at the US electrical system, with NO daily brown outs or black outs. The sleeping accommodations are superior as well. The general lack of insects is a common remark as well as the lack of pollution in the air and water. * The food is excellent & far more varied and fresh, and includes organic items not well known in India . The food is also available at all times of the day and refrigerated well, which is not always the case in India. Some have remarked how clear the water is. * These comments were over heard in there native tongues, not in English, which few of them speak. They spoke this to each other, not to outsiders. * They willingly live in cantonment areas and expected this to be the case. They desire this and understand this is to be of benefit, enabling them go deeply into their program.
