Hypnosis likely has nothing to do with TM. TM induces various brain-wave 
changes that 
are quite different, even the opposite, of what hypnosis does (at least 
according to SOME 
of the inconsistent studies that have been done on EEG and hypnosis--others 
don't find 
consistent changes, so either way, the consistent changes in EEG that TM 
induces are a 
definite way of differentiating between hypnosis and TM).
