I strongly think that "chanellers" are often mislead by their subconsciousness, or enteties on the other side who like to create havoc and disintegration, or who just like to have fun. At the point of "death" all will have reached a point of evolution, on a scale I believe starts at 0,1 for the first incarnation as humans and culiminates in 7,0, which is the status of Maitreya, the Christ now being amongst us today after having created a Mahavirupta body. I will give a few examples from "Maitreyas Mission, vol III" by Benjamin Creme. It should be food for thought, especially regarding the Divine status of Guru Dev.
