Toyota learned something from their Scion models which they thought 
would sell to a younger crowd and instead sold to seniors and aging 
boomers. So they came out with their Yaris line. Cheaper cars are a good 
idea. I remember what I paid for a new car in the 1970s and the prices 
rose way above inflation. Now lets get the semis off the highway or on 
their own "truckways" and tax big pickups and SUVs that aren't used in 
business.

BTW, I live in a refinery town that looks like it has more Prius's per 
capita than any other place in the Bay Area. :)
