Dear Fairfield Community,
Due to Govt cutbacks this year the library lost $40,000 in funds that would have been used to upgrade the book and DVD section. I am sure many of you have noticed that very few new books and movies have been coming in since the fall and I thought I would just put out this suggestion . Please pass it along to your friends. If you have any good , I mean really good books and movies. Not the stuff you have sitting on your bookshelf collecting dust because someone gave it to you and you'll never read it cause it looks boring or the DVD that was a hot release 6 years ago and everyone has already seen it . But the good material that you enjoyed and don't have time or inclination to read or watch again. Especially best selling new books. Please donate them to the library. . If you love your library Its understandable, how about donating 10% of the books. ,give the ones that you could let go but just haven't given much thought to it. Its New years and we can all start the new year by simplifying our life and getting rid of some of that huge "load of samkararas" , remember its best to travel as light as possible here and in the hereafter so this is a good place to start. love radhika PS. PSSS also a great gift is donating a book or magazine subscription to the library in honor of a friends birthday . they can enjoy it and so can many others.
