Begs the question on whether or not the monks in the temples ever came down with cancer? Probably not. They probably die much younger of something else. Devendra died, I think, of complications from diabetes and another one of M's younger Brahmacharies named Vasudev died very young of a bleeding ulcer. India is a very hard place to live. All kinds of infections are east to pick up. For those that go to places like Badrinath I would recommend not bathing in the hot spring because devout Hindus from all over India go there for healing and bathe there. God only knows what organisms are in that water. I came down with a horrible fever about 24 or 36 hours after immersing myself in the spring. I also watched Rats running across the food in vendor stalls after they had closed down for the evening, Yuck!
