One of my next-door neighbors has a pretty good
small telescope. The previous eclipse of the moon,
he had set it up on the common second-floor balcony
of the building and hooked it up to his laptop.
The telescope also had a camera in it (or he'd
attached one to it). I had gone out to look at the
eclipse and strolled over to see what he was up to.

Anyway, he would take pictures of the eclipse,
and they would immediately show up on his laptop.
They were gorgeous. What amused me was that both
of us were utterly fascinated by the photos, when
the real thing was right in front of us.
