I'm having a really lousy day at work and I have to tell you - twenty minutes
on the old mantra chain really hits the spot.

Maharishi. The fastest and the highest. It was something he himself
did not teach, but now he was giving it to Maharishi to give to the
people. By the people he meant the common folk of India, "the
householders," as Maharishi called them.

The idea was not to make monks but simply to uplift and spiritualize
the people and give them a teaching that could make their daily
lives more effective. From time to time, over the ages, this special
technique is brought back into focus. The Guru Dev chose Maharishi
to do it now."

Oddly, through his persistence Barry (TurquoiseB) has again become a
teacher of TM. Perhaps not in the way he was originally instructed
to do, but still we ought to feel good that the knowledge of TM is
being spread, in whatever form. Thanks also to those who post the
oddly named "TM Free Blog" all about TM and Maharishi.

Even if we are quoted out of context, there are probably those
people where Barry will post these quotes who's curiousity will be
piqued, and they will find legitimate sites of TM information. I
know when my mind has been thirsty for information, I have
eventually found what I have been looking for, no matter how it
appeared initially. As the expression goes, "there is no such thing
as bad publicity".

So those who are posted should congratulate themselves. Thanks to
our efforts, whatever his motive, Barry has again become a TM
teacher! And congratulations to Barry! I mean it!
