You're talking about remembering exactly what you said, to whom and when,  
regarding casual conversation, i.e. gossip,  about people in a news  paper 
article, that took place anywhere from a year to two years  earlier. I'm sorry 
but 
unless I had a tape recording or transcript of I  what I had said, I would 
have to be guessing under the same circumstances.  Unfortunately when being 
interviewed by the FBI in an investigation, even to say  "To the best of my 
recollection " doesn't get you off the hook if  you  are wrong. You better 
remember 
verbatim or say nothing at  all.
