I have a doozy. I figured out why he doesn't believe in God, believe Maharishi to be enlightened, or me to be Self Realized. Get this, None of the three are unequivocally NICE.
Think about it, God allows terrible things to happen, Maharishi doesn't spend his time feeding the poor (though with a spiritual perspective that isn't true) and always being nice, and I am not being nice to him now. Therefore we either don't exist or are not enlightened. This I think is because Barry like many seekers has a box for the 'good' enlightened parts of himself, and the 'bad' unenlightened parts of himself, which he hasn't yet integrated. So its good, nice enlightened behavior, or its bad, naughty unenlightened behavior for him. I think he referred to his inside assh*ole or something once. Oooh, definitely in the bad unenlightened box. I wonder which box he is in now?
