TMers often fall asleep during meditation, especially compared to practitioners 
of 
techniques who are warned to "stay vigilant" and NOT fall asleep. However, high 
levels of 
coherent alpha EEG are NOT part of the normal sleep EEG (except in people 
reporting 
witnessing sleep ala TM).
