In the Global Press Conference on 14 March, Dr John Hagelin answered
a question from the press about Transcendental Meditation and the
power of thought and positive thinking.

As we have seen from Maharishi's wisdom, said Dr Hagelin, human
awareness or human thought, at its deepest, transcendental or para
level, which means beyond articulated, linguistic thoughtâ€"beyond the
finer and finer fields of thoughtâ€"is the Unified Field, the basis of
mind and matter.

'At that level of thought, the level of Being, the level of
consciousness, the para level of thought, that is the Unified Field,'
Dr Hagelin said, 'and the whole universe is its expression....'

'So to the extent we are thinking at that para level of the Unified
Field,' said Dr Hagelin, 'if we gain the precious skill of
entertaining thought or desire at that para level of consciousness,
Transcendental Consciousness, the Unified Field, that thought will
get picked up and manifested anywhere and everywhere throughout
creationâ€"because the whole creation is the physiology of the Unified
Field.'

Maharishi describes and emphasizes the importance of spontaneous
fulfillment of desire, and more importantly, teaches how to entertain
a desire at that absolute level. The mechanics of that are the
Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic
Flying, Dr. Hagelin continued.

'The body lifting up in the air through mere impulse of thought; the
response of the physiology to a mere impulses of thought is
demonstrated very clearly in the Yogic Flying phenomenon itself.'

So Maharishi is the master of the science of Yog, the science of
Being, the science of thinking from the level of Being, Dr Hagelin
said, where the whole universe is our extended physiology and where
Nature not just within our own physiology, but throughout the
environment, responds to our impulse of thought.

'So thought can be incredibly powerful,' said Dr Hagelin, 'and at
that deepest level, when developed properly through practice, the
ability to entertain desire within that absolute, omnipresent field,
stirring the totality of the laws of natureâ€"when that is established,
literally it is possible to fulfil desires instantly; to achieve
anything by mere impulse of thought.

'The speed of fulfillment of thought just has to do with how
proficient we are in entertaining that thought on the absolute level,
where Total Natural Law and all possibilities are a reality.'
