From one-total-awareness, instant becomes what? eternity? no-time?
From my POV there is no linear practice which is capable attaining gnosis which guarentees the View (of perfect Buddhahood, perfect enlightenment). There is no meditation in time which can guarantee the grokking of non-meditation which is a spontaneous non-contingent continuity despite our own ignorance or non-enlightenment.
There is a dichotomy between the timeless state of enlightenment and the mind which is striving towards divestment of it's temporal and spatial clothes. The process by which this dichotomy can be realized can only be a momentary - paradoxical event. The first stage is when we begin to disengage from sensory and mental attachments and spontaneously self-identify with the light with which these are made.
