My ego loves certainty -- nothing like continuity to keep an illusion going. So, hmmmm, this certainty that one doesn't believe in God -- how certain can one be about that certainty? I ask myself how I've felt when I've written words like that. And I have done so, and most of the time I came off -- to myself -- as authoritative, or, in the know, or macho choice chosing chooser, or a gotta stand for something or you'll fall for anything kinda guy. I just love choosing! If I were to believe in God, a God with a Plan, I'd have to at least start with "ALL THIS IS GOD." That'd be minimum, methinks. And, by that definition, the Hitler here and the Mother Theresa there may seem to be at odds with each other, but then, as magnificently made in the image of God that I have been, well, sometimes I bite my tongue by mistake, so why should I limit God to the horrid claustrophobia of only being allowed to do good-stuff? I mean, wasn't Hitler a really good villain? Good writing on God's part, right? If my ego loves driveling about yugas, and instead, you believe in driving about in Yugos, well, "let's call the whole thing off." I'm not invested in your believing anything -- even in certainty. You can pronounce tomato any way you want. But if there is causality, sure, sign me up. Let me have at it -- let me name the animals like Adam. Let me say if there's God or not. Let me decide if my ass looks big in these jeans. There I go singing again; hear that "me me me?" And man, I'm tired of that song. I'm facing, like, oh let's round it off, about a zillion decisions per ninnysecond, so, all things considered, glad I'm not the doer. Glad God's doing the choosing and dumping the "next best thought" into my brain. Otherwise, how'd I get the time to drivel my yuga here?
