You can't draw conclusions about gun control based on Houston and Israel being the same size. 96 percent of the population of Israel consists of but two ethnic groups. Most of the city shares the same religious beliefs. Israel is a nation, with a population that is spread out amongst different cities and rural areas, while Houston is a crowded city, and a pretty large one at that.
