MMY's ADHD will continue to enable the decline of MUM student
enrollment in this regard. How many times have we seen the
following: He gets all excited and puts his attention on something
like the agriculture department. This attracts attention, money, and
expertise to the area. Perhaps a major is developed for the
students. Everyone is gung-ho.

But then what happens. Maharishi's attention gets diverted to
something else. And everyone's attention follows it. Not only is
the agricultural thing no longer getting his attention, MMY will come
out with an edict that everyone is to drop what they are doing and
devote themselves to the new "next big thing" he has just attached
himself to. So half the students and half the faculty that were in
the agriculture thing drop it. The major never is developed to any
great extent and not only doesn't the school rack up any "reputation"
in this area -- something that is vital for any school to have in at
least one area -- but it gets negative goodwill in this regard.

The TMO landscape is filled with the pock-marks of abandoned MMY
projects and MUM is the perfect example.
