I'm most probably reading too much into this, but I recently paid attention to the fact, that for "walking on water" (*jale* saMcaran), Bhoja uses locative singular case, but for the rest of them "kramas(?)" he uses instrumental singular or plural: "**jaalena** saMcaramaaNaH" (moving [or whatever verb that means movement] with[?] a [spider's] web), ***aaditya-rashmibhiH*** viharan ("moving" with[?] the rays of the Sun: instr. pl.), ****aakaashena**** gacchati ([s/he]goes with[?] akaasha). Note, that the only difference between 'water'(jala) and 'net' (jaala) is the length of the first vowel.
