Hello All, Just a quick special note of interest about tonight's meeting at the Fairfield Public Library. I have confirmed that for tonight we will have special guest speakers Linda Smiley and Ianto Evans, two of the three authors of "The Hand-Sculpted House" speaking to us via teleconference about the pleasures of living in a sustainable home and answering questions about building with natural materials. They each have decades of experience working with materials like straw bale, earth plasters and cob (a technique that goes back hundreds of years of combining clay, sand and straw into a strong and versatile building material). Also this Saturday, for those interested, we will be adding a bonus, hands-on lesson to the course on building with cob. We will be going to Ottumwa to finish off the building of a cob privacy wall for the garden of the Ottumwa Teen Center. The details of this will be announced tonight. I look forward to seeing you tonight. Best regards, Tim Hunter No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
