Many of Hitler's followers were not 'simple minded' people;
Many were quite intelligent, just like Ann Coulter...
Many were in it for their own personal gain.
Many were just down-trodden, angry and frustrated-with the German
economy, and the oppression of the treaties created after the loss in
WWI.
So, it is more the notion, that a leader seizes on this anger and
fear and prejudice of the people to lead them off the cliff.
Like a false prophet, in a way...
Behind all the people you mention above-
Rupert Murdock...
Without the leadership of Rupert Murdock none of the above would have
the same voice.
So, you must take the repulsion to the top.
The buck stops at the top, with Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney, also.
You can blame the rest, but the person at the top bears the most
