This *is* an interesting question-- And you say you have "an 
aversion to entering a room where the context is set up that the 
person I am seeing is spiritually elevated above me." 

Why is that any different than entering a room where the context is 
set up that the person you are seeing is musically or artistically 
elevated above you? Doesn't mean you have to like their art or 
music, so why the singling out of someone's sprituality for 
aversion? Isn't it all just a matter of practice and talent, 
whatever the specialty?

Personally, no matter who it was, I wouldn't go see a spiritual 
figure. Has nothing to do with them- I just wouldn't get anything 
out of it that I couldn't find myself. Like being full of ice cream, 
and someone describes a great flavor, and I'm so full it doesn't 
matter.:-)
